Privacy policy
Last updated 9 October 2026
Your questions are private. We never sell them, or any of your data. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. The data controller is [business name], [business address], [contact email].
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google or Apple.
- Your readings: the question you ask (if any), the cards drawn, and the reading’s summary and transcript, so they can appear in your journal.
- Purchases: what you bought and your plan. Card details are handled by Stripe, not by us.
- Age confirmation: that you confirmed you are 18 or over, and when.
- Usage: anonymous, cookieless page and event counts (for example, “a reading was completed”).
A note on what you ask
Questions often touch on love, health or worries. Please share only what you are comfortable with. We use your question only to create your reading and to show it in your journal.
Who helps us
We use trusted providers who process data on our behalf: Supabase (database and sign-in), Stripe (payments and tax), Resend (email), Vercel (hosting) and Plausible (privacy-friendly analytics). When readings include personalised spoken parts, the text is sent to our AI and voice providers (such as ElevenLabs) to generate them. Some providers are in the United States; transfers are protected by standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Free accounts see their last 7 days of readings. Older readings are hidden, kept for 90 days in case you upgrade, then deleted.
- Parlor Pass and Founding Patron journals are kept until you delete them.
- When you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except billing records we must keep by law.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to process payments. Our analytics don’t use cookies, so there is nothing to accept or decline.
Your rights
You can see, download, correct or delete your data, and delete your journal at any time from your account. You can also object to processing or complain to your local data protection authority. To ask for anything else, write to [contact email].
Age
The parlor is for adults (18+). We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you before it takes effect.
